Senior PHP Backend Developer
Helmes, Latvia

What You Will Do:

• Independently perform a variety of complex and challenging tasks
• Write and test the most important components of information systems or complete solutions in accordance with the established requirements and design
• Establish processes for selecting and coordinating the types of codes to be used
• Define the best practices and methodology for the development of information system components
• Ensure compliance of the project solutions with the architecture of the information system, as well as the technological approach
• Participate in the design creation process, provide recommendations for various technical solutions for the system as a whole
• Participate in the classification and evaluation of submitted problem reports and change requests, provide opinions on their resolution, and ensure their implementation
• Cooperate with colleagues and clients in the scope defined by the project
• Train and supervise lower-level developers

Requirements

What We Expect:

• Experience in back-end development using PHP
• Very good SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Laravel framework and REST
• Experience with building and running Docker containers
• Knowledge in microservice architecture
• 5+ years of professional coding experience
• Good English

As advantage:

• Knowledge and experience in implementing DevOps practices and pipelines
• Experience in developing microservices in event-driven architecture
• Experience in message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)
• Good understanding of system scalability and high availability techniques
• Communication skills aimed to client and business needs
• Experience with JavaScript front-end framework (e.g., Vue.js, AngularJS or React)
