Job Description

Due to rapid growth, we have a newly-created role for an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Riga, Latvia.

Join our expanding teams in the role of IT Support Specialist in our Riga office.

An IT Support Specialist operates and maintains the computer and network systems of Clear Junction to ensure that the concerned people get the most effective IT functionality.

Main duties include facilitating and supporting smooth, uninterrupted office operations; managing, controlling and improving office and user infrastructure; evaluating vulnerability of the office and user infrastructure; troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, setting up computer networks and assisting employees and customers with IT-related problems.

Requirements

Serving as the first line for IT support of the Clear Junction personnel:

  • Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software components of:
    • Telecommunication equipment (cabling and wireless, local area networks, switches, routers).
    • Firewalls, antiviruses, other user security applications and solutions.
    • Printers, scanners and other office devices.
    • Corporate hardware, i.e. mobile phones, tablets and other gadgets.
    • Windows and macOS systems, appropriate business applications.
    • User-related Google Cloud Services, other relevant services for the CJ offices IT-infrastructure.
  • Oversee and monitor platform-related Remote Monitoring and Management software, ensuring the security of IT-operations, continuously monitor related KPIs.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues:
    • Procurement and installation/configuration of hardware and software.
    • Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components. Procurement and installation/configuration of hardware and software.
    • Support end users from the London and Riga offices.
    • Provide IT helpdesk services to the CJ staff.
    • Investigate IT incidents, as requested.
  • Contribute to development and update of policies, procedures, manuals and other internal documentation.
  • Support of end users, consulting colleagues from other departments and divisions.
  • Reporting to the Head of the IT Infrastructure and Support Division.

The role is reporting directly to the Head of the IT Infrastructure Division.
